It has been a few years since we saw a proper update to the Bose SoundLink series of speakers and today the company has unveiled its portable speaker for the summer.
Called the Bose SoundLink Revolve and Revolve+, both speakers give you 360° sound for consistent, uniform coverag – much like the smaller Google Home speaker. The speakers are also IPX4 – the second water-resistant speaker from Bose after the SoundLink Color Series II – so you can place it beside the sink or pool without any worries.
Bose claims that with its efficient transducer, acoustic deflector and dual-passive radiators, the Revolve is capable of an immersive omnidirectional audio experience with deep lows despite its pint-sized enclosure.
Connectivity wise, it’s surprising that the Bose SoundLink Revolve doesn’t support Wi-Fi streaming and only Bluetooth streaming with a 3.5mm Aux-in for wired connection. You do get a multi-function button that allows you to call on Siri or Google Now depending on whether you’re an iPhone or Android user. Other features that are packed in the Revolve includes voice prompts, speakerphone and a universal mount for your tripods.
There’s no availability dates for the Bose SoundLink Revolve and Revolve+ in Singapore but we will update again when we have them.
