After announcing that it will no longer be releasing its flagship smartphone on a yearly schedule, LG has expectedly released an improved version of the LG V30.
Called the LG V30S ThinQ (???), the phone now comes with voice and visual artificial intelligence (AI), more RAM, storage and color options.
The AI CAM recognises the subjects in the frame and automatically recommends the best shooting among the eight pre-set categories: portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset. The machine-learning system has already been trained on 100 million images to provide an accurate match.
QLens provide an image search of the product in frame and gives you information on where to purchase the items online at the lowest price. This reminds me of the Firefly feature on the ill-fated Amazon Fire phone though.
The new LG V30SThinQ will come with 6GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB capacities and in two new colors: New Moroccan Blue and New Platinum Gray.
No information on the local pricing and availability but I believe more will be revealed at the upcoming Mobile World Conference on 1 March.
